1. Say some words about AUDIO KOLLAPS. How a long ago did it appear? Present the participants of the band. Where are they and you work, What are you doing?

Jens: I play Guitar and I'm student of history and political science.

Björn: I play drums and do some background growls. I´m a computer admin and websites designer. Our singer Kai does various jobs at the moment, our bass player Andreas K. is on the dole.

2. Why did you choose exactly this music style? What is reflected in your songs?

Jens: I personally choose the style because it is totally crazy.

Björn: Aggressive music to feel better.

3. What do you want to get from your music and from style on the whole?

Jens: Fun and satisfaction.

4. What bands and styles did influence on AK? What do you prefer from music?

Jens: Old school Death Metal and old school Grindcore, which means that this styles still have been influenced by Punk and Hardcore very much when they were "new".

5. You play rather extreme music. What is the more serious texts or music in AK? What value does give one up the texts of your songs? about what are they?

Jens: For me the music and the lyrics are important both, but as guitarist I have to care for the music first.

Björn: The lyrics are mostly about social evils and everyday experiences. We don´t want to preach but just point out on things which we think are worth mentioning.

6. Do the participants of AK play in some other bands? What persuasions are divided by the participants of the band? And what about you?

Jens: I play bass in a Death Metal Band called Magna Mortalis, watch out our first Long Player.

Björn: I play in a punk´n´roll band called “Annex5” and in an Oi! punk band called “Combat 77”. Kai plays in a hardcore project and Andreas K. in a punk band called “Franz Wittich”.

7. Are there some bands, among those with which you play on the one scene, which indeed like you? Name these groups, please.

Jens: Have a look on our my Space site (www.myspace.com/audiokollaps) there is a very long friendlist.

8. What are the participants of AK engaged in in spare from music time (hobbies, work, something else)?

Jens: As I said, I', student, my Hobbies are playing brutal and crazy music, cooking eating boozing and I'm football fanatic (Hannover 96)

Björn: Drinking, partying, Oi! punk concerts.

9. What are you think about Russia? Did you hear anything from Russian punk or crust bands? Maybe you've heard about belarussian scene, it's rather famous...

Jens: I hear nearly nothing about russian scene nor about bjelarus scene, bur I hear sometimes few about the baltic scene. But I think it's not the same, russians are russians and Baltics are Baltics and this will have effect on the scene like the scene in germany differs from the one in France or Czech or Netherland and so on.

10. Do you see origin of something new and interesting in punk, crust or hardcore music? If yes, what is it expressed in?

Björn: Nothing new at the moment I think. Everything is repeating itself again and again, which to me doesn´t seem so bad because it doesn´t need to be any new music all the time, the old tunes are also very good.

11. Last word is after you, Can you wish something for Russian punks?

Jens: Usually at this point I say cheers, but even I know only very few about Russia I know alcohol abuse is a big problem in the whole former Sowjet Union and many people die very young because of this. So don't drink to much, than you will become much older and in the end you can drink much more in total. So cheers from Hannover/Germany. I wish you good times and a lot of fun.
